We are now looking to recruit an additional Maintenance Facilities Operative within our Facilities team based at our site in Barton-upon-Humber. The candidate will work 10-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off, rotating weekly from 06:00-16:45.
Main responsibilities:
* Carry out PPMs to set standards and update appropriate records
* Perform minor mechanical, electrical (where qualified), and plumbing works
* Conduct unplanned maintenance tasks as requested by management
* Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
* Check functionality of safety systems
* Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements (including risk assessments)
About You
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
* Experience in preventative maintenance activities
* Good knowledge of machine maintenance, operation, and computerised maintenance management systems
* Previous experience with mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing works, preferably in a facilities background
* Qualified to at least NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., plumbing, joinery, carpentry)
* IT literate with excellent communication skills
* Pro-active attitude
