The Role We are currently recruiting for an IT Project Manager, for a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering IT projects, with a primary focus on the migration of the current finance system to a new platform. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end project management of the finance system migration, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure phases. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, vendors, and external consultants, to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables. Coordinate migration activities, such as data cleansing, mapping, testing, and user training, to ensure a seamless transition to the new finance system. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on track and within budget. Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management, steering committees, and project teams. Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate project outcomes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement, and implement continuous process enhancements to optimize future project delivery. Experience / skills / qualifications Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably with a focus on finance system migrations and Microsoft 365. Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage budgets, and deliver projects on time and within scope. Knowledge of finance systems, ERP platforms, and related technologies, with experience in system migrations or implementations. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange, with experience in migration projects involving these technologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
