About The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will assist in managing operations within the home to reach or exceed goals while assuring the provision of high-quality care. You will oversee care staff and may assume full management in the absence of the Home Manager. You will train and supervise care staff, assist with pre-admission assessments, ensure care plans and daily records are up to date, and foster effective communication with residents’ families and other organisations.
Reports to: Home Manager
Responsibilities
* Assist in managing home operations to achieve quality care goals.
* Oversee care staff and provide guidance in their duties.
* Assist with pre-admission assessments and care plan maintenance.
* Maintain up-to-date daily records and liaise with families and external organisations.
* Training and supervising care staff to ensure high standards of care.
Qualifications
* NMC registered nurse with relevant experience – essential.
Skills and attributes
* Ability to engage with service users to understand needs and provide high-quality care.
* Ability to identify safeguarding referral pathways for adults.
* Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with external professionals, families, visitors and staff.
* Ability to involve service users and families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.
