Your new role
We are seeking a qualified MRICS Building Surveyor to join our dynamic team in either the Kendal or Carlisle office. The successful candidate will undertake a broad range ofmercial building surveys and project work, alongside residential Level 2 (HomeBuyer) and Level 3 (Building Survey) reports. This is a client-facing role requiring technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellentmunication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct pre-acquisition building surveys formercial properties.
2. Prepare and manage schedules of condition and dilapidations.
3. Deliver project management services including contract administration and specification writing.
4. Advise clients on property maintenance, refurbishment, andpliance matters.
5. Liaise with landlords, tenants, and legal professionals regarding lease obligations.
Residential Work
6. Carry out Level 2 HomeBuyer Reports and Level 3 Building Surveys in line with RICS standards.
7. Provide clear and concise advice to homeowners and buyers.
8. Identify defects, assess risks, and rmend remedial actions.
9. Maintain high standards of customer service and professional integrity.
What you'll need to succeed
10. MRICS qualified
11. Proven experience in bothmercial and residential surveying in a consultancy setting
12. Strong knowledge of building pathology, construction methods, and property legislation.
13. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills.
14. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
