An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Midwife to join the Invergordon Community Midwifery Team. The post covers the Invergordon, Alness, Tain, and lower Sutherland Area. You will be based at the midwifery Hub at Fyrish Ward, Invergordon County Hospital. The team cares for approximately 250 women per year. The Hub provides a base for community midwives and offers a day case facility.
There may be occasions when the post holder works within other teams in the Inner Moray Firth.
The successful candidate must be flexible, a good team player, and have excellent time management skills. Community experience is desirable but not essential and is suitable for Band 6 applicants.
An on-call commitment is required for the provision of a Home Birth/Domino service within the Inner Moray Firth community midwifery teams.
A full/current driving licence and use of own car are essential for this post.
Invergordon has excellent road and rail links, and Inverness airport is nearby. The town’s port attracts large cruise liners from around the world. Nearby are many spots for wild swimming, walks, mountain biking, and Munros for outdoor enthusiasts.
