Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:30
Are you passionate about supporting children's education and development? Here at Supply Hive Wales, we are currently working with various schools across Newport by supporting them with their staffing needs. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's education and cognitive development.
Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering pre planned lessons and activities
Provide one-to-one support or small group support to children who may require extra support
Support the class teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Supervise the children during breaks, lunchtime and outdoor activities
Collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff
Support the class teacher to create development targets for pupils
Liaise with class teachers on development targets and support enhancements for pupils
Adhere to safeguarding and child protection guidelines
Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong teamwork skills
A patient, supportive and pro-active approach to learning
Child only DBS certificate registered on the update service
Registration with the Education Workforce Council
