About The Role

Your Expertise Can Change Lives

Every audit you lead, every insight you share, will help ensure adults with learning disabilities and autism receive the highest quality care.

If you're passionate about quality, committed to safety, and focused on progress, this is your opportunity to make a real difference in a values-driven organisation.

At Hesley Group, we put people first. We're committed to always being the best we can be, setting high standards and striving for excellence in everything we do. Reporting to the Head of Safeguarding and Governance, we're looking for a resilient, collaborative Quality and Compliance Lead who can provide assurance, celebrate what works well, and ensure risks are managed effectively.

If you share our commitment to dignity, respect, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Mission

As our Quality and Compliance Lead, you'll play a critical role in providing assurance across our services and support functions. Everything you do will help ensure safe, high-quality care for the people we support. You will:

* Lead thematic audits across care and support functions, including clinical, estates, and HR.

* Identify strengths and areas for development, ensuring we celebrate what works well and address gaps effectively.

* Analyse data, feedback, and audit findings to generate insights that directly improve the quality of care and outcomes for the people we support.

* Spot and escalate significant risks or potential regulatory breaches quickly and appropriately, ensuring the right actions are taken to maintain safety and compliance.

* Work closely with data analysts to design dashboards that provide meaningful assurance and visibility of compliance performance.

* Build trust and maintain a constructive approach, always seeking to understand context, avoid adversarial interactions, and communicate findings in a way that supports learning and improvement.

About You

What We're Looking For

* Proven expertise in auditing, compliance, or quality assurance within health or social care.

* Strong knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards, safeguarding responsibilities, and wider regulatory frameworks (e.g., MCA, Health & Safety).

* Ability to identify strengths and areas for development through thematic audits across care and support functions.

* Confidence to escalate significant risks or potential regulatory breaches promptly and appropriately.

* Analytical skills to interpret data and feedback, generating insights that improve outcomes for the people we support.

* Collaborative and values-led approach, with the ability to build trust and maintain a constructive tone, even when delivering challenging messages.

* Resilience and contextual awareness, understanding the pressures services face and avoiding an adversarial approach that can block learning.

* Excellent communication skills, able to influence and engage at all levels.

Qualifications:

* Level 4 qualification relevant to adults (or willingness to work towards this).

* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above).
