Are you a qualified teacher with experience supporting children with severe and complex learning needs?
A specialist school in Newham is recruiting a full-time Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of pupils with complex needs in a highly supportive environment.
The role will include:• Planning and delivering tailored lessons for pupils with SLD and complex needs• Adapting learning to meet a wide range of abilities and learning styles• Supporting communication needs using visual aids, PECS, Makaton, and sensory approaches• Managing a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment• Working closely with support staff, therapists, and parents
To be successful, you will need:• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent• Experience working with SLD, PMLD, Autism, or complex SEND• Strong behaviour management and adaptive teaching skills• A patient, resilient, and creative approach to teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
