Hourly Rate:
Site-dependent, between £12.21 - £14.00 per hour.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and collaborate with local authorities.
* Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
* Assess vulnerabilities and work proactively to minimise risks.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
* Conduct colleague and contractor searches as per company policy.
* Use tablets/phones for incident reporting and daily activity planning.
* Prepare detailed and legible incident reports to assist clients and authorities.
The Person:
Effective security officers are confident communicators capable of providing detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents. They are welcoming, patient, and able to handle conflicts professionally.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
A valid SIA licence is mandatory. Previous retail security experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Applicants must be able to provide a 5-year checkable work or education history. Please bring your right to work documents and recent proof of address to the interview.
