Interim Finance Business Partner
A growing manufacturing group is going through a significant period of transformation following a recent acquisition by a larger international group, and is looking for an Interim Finance Business Partner to drive financial control and commercial insight through that change.
This is a transformation-focused Interim Finance Business Partner role sitting at the heart of integration and partnering both project delivery and central finance across the East Midlands. It is an initial six-month contract with strong potential to extend, and the business needs someone who can start ASAP and make an impact quickly.
The Role:
This is a true transformation assignment. As Interim Finance Business Partner you will be the link between divisional operations, project delivery and group finance, rebuilding the reporting and forecasting foundations while the business integrates into its new parent. You will bring order, rigour and commercial challenge during a fast-moving period of change, and you will be hands-on rather than purely strategic.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rebuild management accounts and forecasting models so they are fit for purpose and embedded into operational processes
* Strengthen month-end and management reporting across the divisions, with accurate, timely and insightful numbers
* Produce divisional P&Ls, variance analysis and commentary that explain the real performance drivers
* Review project profitability, cost-to-complete forecasts and revenue recognition on a cost-based methodology
* Own divisional forecasting, covering pipeline conversion, margin projections and overhead recovery
* Operationalise CVR discipline and introduce a formal project review process
* Lead the integration of divisional reporting and controls into the wider group framework
* Ensure consistent reporting of WIP, accruals and deferred revenue, and support group consolidation
What You Will Deliver:
* Reporting and forecasting that leadership can trust through the integration and beyond
* A finance function that is genuinely fit for the transformed, larger group
* A consistent, well-understood approach to project performance and margin
* Stronger controls and project accounting embedded as business as usual
What We Are Looking For:
You are a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with strong post-qualification experience in a project-based, engineering or manufacturing environment, and you are available at short notice for an interim transformation role in the East Midlands.
* Proven business partnering across project delivery and operations
* Real experience of integration, transformation or post-acquisition finance
* Solid grasp of project accounting, revenue recognition, WIP and cost-to-complete
* Excellent Excel and strong systems skills, ideally with ERP or project accounting tools
* A pragmatic, commercial mindset, comfortable leading through ambiguity and change
What The Job Offers:
* Competitive day rate, depending on experience
* Initial six-month contract with strong potential to extend
* An ASAP start on a high-profile transformation and integration assignment
* Real influence with divisional leadership and group finance during a pivotal period
