Exciting opportunities have arisen within the East Sutherland Community Nursing Team for Band 5 Community Nurses to join our busy Team, based in Golspie.
The Team provides 7-days per week co-ordinated care for patients within the 5 GP practice catchments in East Sutherland. We provide care for patients with multiple pathology and complex health and social care needs which lead to chronic ill health and disability. We aim to promote independence, prevent admission to hospital or facilitate hospital discharge by providing a needs-led, individual and research-based nursing service. We also provide palliative care for those who wish to remain at home.
The posts will suit flexible, enthusiastic and motivated nurses who are committed to the delivery of high quality, evidence-based and effective nursing care. You will need excellent communication and time management skills and a full UK manual driving licence. You will need to be UK NMC registered, with an appropriate RN DipHE or Nursing Degree.
These are full or part-time permanent posts, covering across a 7-day rota, in accordance with service requirements. Newly qualified nurses will also be considered.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
