Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG) is recruiting a Team Leader to join our operational workforce – managing day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs, voids or planned works. About the Role As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for a team of multi-skilled operatives and administrative support staff, ensuring excellent service delivery across our property portfolio. This is a hands-on leadership role, ensuring compliance, quality, and high customer satisfaction at every stage of the process. You'll play a key role in managing resources, maintaining health and safety standards, engaging with tenants, and supporting continuous service improvement. What You'll Be Doing Oversee day-to-day delivery of repairs, voids or planned works Conduct assessments, schedule works, order materials, and monitor performance Manage, coach, and develop a team of operatives and admin staff Undertake site visits, inspections, and post-completion reviews Liaise directly with tenants, ensuring excellent communication and customer service Handle complaints and feedback professionally, implementing service improvements Ensure compliance with health & safety and CDM regulations Monitor budgets and report on team performance and KPIs Support business growth and the delivery of value-for-money services What We're Looking For ILM Level 3 qualification or equivalent management experience HNC or relevant qualification in construction or building maintenance Previous experience managing a multi-trade workforce in housing or property services Strong technical knowledge of repairs, building materials, and regulations Experience with project performance monitoring and budget reporting Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities Flexible approach to working hours and occasional evening/weekend meetings Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential) If you would like to know more, please see job description and person specification.
