Occupational Therapy Responsibilities
* Plan and provide a range of occupational assessments and treatments that promote recovery and wellbeing for young people and families with severe Anorexia Nervosa.
* Support the promotion of Occupational Therapy within the clinical area and contribute to the development of the OT pathway at Spring Tide.
* Contribute to and facilitate occupational therapy interventions via group work with regular support and supervision.
* Identify OT therapy goals as part of overall care.
* Offer specialist clinical supervision for junior OT staff at Spring Tide.
General Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of young people and their families with regular support and supervision of a team manager and professional supervisor, using evidence-based/client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
* Be part of a mini team for a young person and family, involved in family work and care coordination, liaising with relevant agencies outside of Spring Tide (community mental health teams/Eating Disorder Teams, schools, GP's, and hospitals).
* Contribute to the overall running of the therapeutic day at Spring Tide, including shift coordination, meal supports, simple kitchen duties as needed, and working with the Multi‑Disciplinary team to create a welcoming and positive environment.
* Contribute to the Multi‑Disciplinary Team meeting weekly, take part in reflective practice, relevant training and work collaboratively with all staff.
* Provide excellent risk assessment and management for young people with complex mental and physical health problems.
