The post is for 20 - 25hrs per week. 12 month fixed term position possibly leading to permanent contract.
Band 5/6 dependant on experience. Starting at £17.50 but will be based on experience and current salary taken into account.
S1 Practice.
You will work closely with the Practices multi‑disciplinary team of other GPs, other nurses, HCA and phlebotomist along with our non‑clinical staff to provide a high quality and accessible service to patients.

Main duties of the job
The role will involve patient contact both F2F and on the telephone. This is a varied role and would include visiting patients in their own homes/care homes along with undertaking duties in cytology, chronic disease management, wound care, ear irrigation, adult and child immunisations. This team includes 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 1 x ACP, 2 Nurses, 1 HCA and a supportive admin and cleaning team. We are also supported by our PCN and CCG pharmacists, midwife and care co‑ordinators.
We pride ourselves on being a patient focused practice.
We also train Yr 1& 2 medical students, along with student nurses and work experience school leavers.
Free parking for staff is available on site, along with a well‑equipped kitchen and staff room area.

Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse
* GCSE Eng Language C or above
* Excellent communication and patient skills
* Experience of using S1 clinical system
* AccuRx
Experience
* Experience of working in a health care environment
* Computer literacy of clinical systems
* Experience of providing healthcare services to patients
* Experience of dealing with multi‑agency working and dealing with members of the public.
* Previous Practice Nurse experience preferable
* Experience of TPP SystmOne
Knowledge and Skills
* Competent in the range of duties specified in the Job Description
* Specific nursing skills to meet the needs of patients with chronic disease conditions
* Awareness of clinical governance and the need to work according to clinical protocols
* Excellent communication skills to diverse groups of people.

* COPD, Spirometry and chronic disease management.
