Job Description: Lecturer - Bricklaying
Job Type: Full-time
Job Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality education in bricklaying techniques to students at various skill levels.
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum designed to meet the educational needs of students.
* Assess and evaluate student performance through practical assessments, projects, and exams.
* Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience and ensure skill development.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, trends, and practices in bricklaying and construction.
* Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to develop partnerships and enhance course offerings.
* Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and college events as required.
* Support student recruitment and retention efforts through outreach and engagement activities.
Essential Qualifications:
* Proven qualifications in bricklaying or a related field, ideally a minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Bricklaying.
* Teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of education theory and practice, particularly in vocational training settings.
Desired Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the bricklaying industry, showcasing a strong portfolio of skills.
* Prior teaching or training experience, particularly in a further education context, will be advantageous.
* Experience in curriculum development and classroom management is a plus.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: £28,385 - £41,782 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
