Sales Solution Architect
Primary Job Purpose
* Support the Sales and Campaign functions to develop and foster senior client technical relationships and act as technical thought leader for cutting‑edge technology propositions.
* Elaborate high‑level technical requirements and develop new solutions to client challenges.
* Represent Roke, and its technical solutions and capabilities toward client communities.
* Shape the technical solution and strategy for proposals from both existing Roke capabilities and partner technologies.
* Work closely with the Campaign Manager and Client Managers to understand the customer business and technology requirements in support of “Win New Business” activities.
* Work as part of the wider sales team to provide input into relevant campaign plans and propositions, including bids and technical roadmaps.
* Work with BU Delivery Management to ensure that technical solutions are handed over to a suitably qualified resource on contract award.
Key Responsibilities
* Play an active role in BU Leadership Team, constantly looking for ways in which to improve to match the needs of the BU strategy.
* Maintain and develop client relationships as directed by the Campaign or Account Team.
* Act as the ‘voice of the customer’, liaising with Delivery teams to translate client needs into winning propositions.
* Produce and maintain campaign and account artefacts as necessary.
* Support the production of the technical proposals and bids.
* Work with Delivery Management to highlight technical risks and optimal resourcing skills.
* Work with Delivery Management to maximise the strategic value of run‑rate deliveries.
* Always fully comply with Roke’s policies and procedures.
* Undertake such other reasonable duties, commensurate with the job holder’s experience and qualifications, as may be required for the smooth operation of the business.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Expertise in AI/ML, cybersecurity and hardware prototyping – highly desirable.
* Experience of “Business Winning” activities and processes.
* Experience of working with “Business Winning” Teams.
* Appreciation of commercial processes.
