Allied Health Assistant - Thrive on a quality opportunity!
This position within our legendary mobile allied health team seeks an outgoing and personable Allied Health Assistant with knowledgeable clinical insight and expert communication skills. Prior experience working with adults with physical disabilities is essential.
Responsibilities
* Execute exercise programs and facilitate exercise groups handed over by the Physiotherapy Team.
* Lead skills development programs set up and handed over by the Occupational Therapy Team.
* Work in community settings (with paid travel time), in clients\' homes, in residential aged care facilities, and in our in-house clinic in Mawson Lakes.
* Maintain autonomy to manage your time and workload; support work/life balance with flexible hours.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, stakeholders and team members to prepare weekly rosters.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience as an Allied Health Assistant or in a relevant clinical field.
* Ability to work autonomously within the scope of the role.
* Experience with basic computer programs (Outlook, Microsoft Office).
* Australian citizenship or right to work in Australia.
* Experience working with adults with physical disabilities is a must.
Requirements & Desirable
* Police clearance (issued within last 3 years).
* NDIS Worker Screening (assistance with initiation available).
* Flu vaccination for the 2025 season.
* Ability to consistently work a roster (semi-flexible shifts during clinical placements for students).
* Experience under the NDIS framework (desirable).
* Australian Driver\'s Licence (if applicable).
