Could you be the quality assurance champion leading our fundraising financial audits, ensuring each donation is backed by solid evidence and adhering to best practices?
What will a Financial & Business Controls Analyst's job involve?
* Reconciliation of fundraising donation data with the finance database to ensure receipt of all expected income and data accuracy.
* Analyzing financial data to verify integrity and compliance with Charity SORP standards.
* Identifying and resolving data anomalies, ensuring transparency of banking discrepancies, refunds, and chargebacks to confidently claim Gift Aid from HMRC.
* Leading income reporting projects, providing relevant reports to stakeholders to meet fundraising obligations.
* Leading fundraising financial audits, implementing necessary procedural changes.
What will a Financial & Business Controls Analyst need to be successful?
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced skills).
* Curious, analytical, problem-solving mindset.
* Confidence in resolving issues independently.
* Highly organized and methodical work approach.
* Familiarity with GDPR related to data processing and retention.
* Experience managing and manipulating database data, building queries, and data analysis.
* Experience writing and maintaining detailed process manuals for audit assurance.
