Salary & Benefits
OCL/NJC Scale 3 (Point 4-8) £25,185 – £26,824 FTE (Bristol Grade 5) + Local Government Pension Scheme. Actual starting salary £19,028.
TTO + INSETS (39 weeks)
Permanent, full‑time role.
Oasis Academy Long Cross provides a vibrant, culturally inclusive environment for children and adults to thrive academically and socially. The Specialist Resource Base supports a diverse group of 7 classes (approx. 50 students) ages 2‑11.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct support for the learning of individual children or small groups to achieve defined progression targets.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and adapt learning interventions tailored to each child's needs.
* Engage parents and carers, ensuring joined‑up thinking and consistent support across settings.
* Contribute to weekly team meetings, reflecting on practice and sharing insights.
* Assist with alternative communication and technology strategies for preverbal learners.
* Support multi‑agency collaboration to deliver holistic care for children with SEND.
Qualifications
* Experience working with children with SEND in a mainstream or special school provision.
* Commitment to inclusion and ongoing professional development.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and non‑verbal.
* Positive and energetic attitude, supporting a collaborative team culture.
