We are now looking for a Marketing & Design Assistant to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you'll play a key part in supporting the marketing team with creative, content, and administrative tasks. From producing design assets and drafting social media copy to assisting with photoshoots and coordinating campaigns, this role is varied and fast-paced.

You'll need to be organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at once. In return, you'll gain exposure across the full marketing mix and contribute directly to the success of our brand.

Key Responsibilities

* Create and adapt design assets for digital and print campaigns (social graphics, brochures, banners, emails)
* Ensure all materials follow brand guidelines and are prepared for use across channels
* Prepare artwork for print and digital channels
* Support photoshoots, edit imagery, and maintain asset libraries
* Draft and proofread copy for social media, email, and other campaigns
* Help plan, schedule, and coordinate marketing activities
* Provide general administration, including meeting support, file management, and use of project management tools.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

* 1–3 years' experience in marketing, design, or creative support
* Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (or equivalent design tools such as Canva or Figma)
* Strong eye for design and attention to detail
* Confident written communication and proofreading skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
* Familiarity with social media platforms for business use.

Desirable:

* Basic photography and image editing skills
* Experience with email marketing or CMS platforms
* Exposure to video editing or motion graphics
* Experience using project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana).

What We Offer

* Salary: £12,000 - £13,000 for the 6-month contract (equivalent to £25,000 - £26,000 per annum)
* Holiday: 11.5 days plus bank holidays (equivalent to 23 days plus bank holidays FTE)
* Contract: 6-month fixed-term
* Hours: Monday–Thursday 08:30–17:15, Friday 08:30–16:15 (39 hours per week)
* Location: Office-based, Mere (BA12 6FE).
