Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 HIAB Driver on behalf of a well-established glass and window company. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and a permanent salary of £44,000.
The role involves delivering glass, windows, and related products to customers across the UK. Drivers must be comfortable carrying out offloading duties independently using a HIAB crane while maintaining excellent safety and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver glass and window products to customer sites across the UK
* Operate HIAB crane equipment safely and efficiently to offload deliveries
* Carry out daily vehicle checks before and after shifts
* Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
* Check orders and delivery documentation before leaving site
* Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times
* Secure loads correctly and ensure goods are transported safely
* Communicate professionally with customers and transport teams
* Report vehicle defects, delivery issues, or delays promptly
* Keep vehicle clean and roadworthy
Requirements
* Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
* Valid HIAB qualification / certification
* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
* Previous experience operating HIAB equipment preferred
* Comfortable with early morning starts and 10-hour working days
* Good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Reliable with a strong work ethic
