Senior Delivery Manager
Location: Central London – Hybrid. Onsite requirements can vary from one customer to another, however 1‑2 days per week onsite is normal for our teams, with some customers requiring up to 4 days per week.
Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £70,000 - £100,000
SC Clearance Requirements: Due to working with a number of government bodies, SC clearance is required for our customer facing teams. You do not need active SC clearance as we will undertake checks upon you joining, but you must be eligible to pass SC clearance. In future, DV clearance may be required, so the ability/willingness to pass DV clearance is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Own the end‑to‑end delivery of cloud consulting engagements, from mobilisation through to closure and handover, ensuring outcomes are delivered to client satisfaction.
* Act as the primary client interface for delivery matters, managing expectations, reporting progress, escalating risks, and maintaining a trusted advisor relationship with senior stakeholders.
* Lead cross‑functional delivery teams of engineers, architects, and consultants, ensuring work is planned, prioritised, and executed effectively using agile or hybrid delivery methods.
* Produce and maintain delivery artefacts including project plans, status reports, RAID logs, roadmaps, and governance packs.
* Contribute directly to client deliverables where your expertise adds value, including migration wave planning, cloud operating model design, governance frameworks, or service transition planning.
* Work with the Head of Delivery to manage resource allocation across engagements, flagging capacity constraints and skills gaps early.
* Support pre‑sales activity by contributing to proposals, estimates, and scoping workshops for new engagements.
* Establish and lead team governance including retrospectives, sprint reviews, and a culture of continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with other delivery managers to build consistency in how Cloudscaler delivers. Sharing best practice, standardising templates, and contributing to delivery playbooks.
* When between client engagements, contribute to creditable internal work including practice development, Academy mentoring, and managed service delivery.
Required Experience
* Experience producing and owning delivery reporting: status packs, RAID logs, roadmaps, and governance frameworks that clients and leadership teams use. Hands‑on experience with delivery tooling such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.
* Consulting skills: you can facilitate a workshop, structure a problem, and write a clear recommendation. You are not just a project manager; you add value to the client’s thinking.
* Proven track record of delivering cloud transformation or cloud platform programmes at enterprise scale, with outcomes that are specific, measurable, and tied to meaningful business value, not just delivery milestones.
* Confident managing senior stakeholders; you can run a steering committee, present to a programme board, and have difficult conversations about scope, timeline, or risk.
* Experience working in heavily regulated industries, such as financial services, central government, defence, or healthcare where compliance constraints, security requirements, and governance overhead are built into the delivery model from day one. Critically, you are comfortable re‑planning and pivoting mid‑engagement when policy, risk appetite, or technical direction changes.
Required Behaviours
Cloudscaler’s values are central to how we work. We expect the following behaviours:
* Mastery: Curious and self‑improving. You stay current with evolving delivery practices and are genuinely interested in the “why” behind technical decisions, understanding what a new AWS capability solves and how it affects your programmes. You don't need to be an engineer, but you cannot afford to be incurious.
* Integrity: You are transparent about delivery status; good and bad. You honour commitments to clients and colleagues.
* Community: You collaborate across disciplines and invest in others through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
* Trust: You build confidence through reliability, competence, and openness.
* Ownership: You treat client outcomes as your own. You see problems coming and act.
* Adaptability: You are comfortable switching between leading a delivery team and contributing directly to client deliverables. Consultancy life requires range.
