One of our platinum accounts has openings for PaaS System Administrators for varying skill levels. The successful candidate will work within a small team which will require a good level of knowledge on DevOps engineering methodologies and that is comfortable working within a cloud development environment. The role involves developing and supporting an existing OpenShift on OpenStack PaaS solution with an attitude towards delivering zero-ops which will require strong automation skills. The ideal candidate would be innovative and analytical with a good eye for detail. Your role will include implementing standards, policies, and procedures for continual service improvement.
Location: Gloucester
Role responsibilities:
1. Provide first and second level technical support on incidents and problems
2. Monitor overall system performance and ensure smooth system functionality
3. Create, maintain, and utilise documentation
4. Assist building compliance with our processes and policies
5. Able to work autonomously or within high functioning team environment

Desirable Skills and Technologies:
13. Hands-on production experience on Linux, OpenShift
14. Good knowledge on Linux, Kubernetes and OpenShift
15. Role based access control in relation to OpenShift roles and SCC's
16. Good troubleshooting skills on OpenShift and Kubernetes
17. Good troubleshooting skills in Docker and Podman
18. Confidence in using GIT/Source Control
19. Good CI/CD pipeline understanding
20. Ansible automation
21. Ability to write technical documentation
22. Experience with ArgoCD, Istio/Service Mesh, Tekton and Helm Charts will be added advantage
23. OpenShift monitoring and writing custom alerting using Prometheus Alertmanager
24. CheckMK to monitor physical infrastructure
25. Experience with Red Hat Quay Container Registry
26. Experience with Red Hat CEPH Storage
27. Experience with Red Hat OpenStack
28. Experience with maintaining Dell PowerEdge Servers
