Are you a recent Criminology Graduate seeking a rewarding graduate opportunity? Do you aspire to work with vulnerable children facing mental health challenges? Can you serve as a positive role model?
A unique mental health school in Salisbury is looking for a Criminology Graduate to join as a Learning Support Assistant, starting as soon as possible. In this role, you will work with children experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, attachment disorders, and PTSD. You will mentor and support them emotionally and therapeutically throughout the school day.
The students predominantly have complex mental health needs and come from challenging backgrounds. The school employs a therapeutic approach in its teaching, and you will be instrumental in implementing this methodology, helping students build resilience and receive a quality education. Collaboration with Teachers, Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists will be essential to ensure each pupil's safety and well-being.
The ideal candidate is bubbly, outgoing, and passionate about helping vulnerable children. Bringing positive energy to the classroom and exemplifying a role model is crucial. A background in Criminology or Psychology would be highly beneficial.
As a Criminology Graduate, you can leverage your degree to understand student behavior, identify triggers for negative actions, and recognize learning challenges.
