Position Overview:

The business administrator will take full responsibility for office administration to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, including finance administration, premises management and project support.
You will also be a key partner to our senior leadership, leading all aspects of schedules, coordinating meetings, supporting travel, and encouraging collaboration across our dynamic and geographically distributed team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and ready to bring innovative solutions to a high-performing and ambitious team.
As our new Business Administrative officer, you will:
Project Support & Proposal Development
* Support the Operations Director by compiling reports of project time worked and financial reports
* Provide support in organising meetings, events, etc
* Help the team with information management
* Support the development of bid proposals
Contracts, payments & taxes
* Handle all bookkeeping tasks: reconciling payments in and out, matching invoices to payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing reports for management.
* Ensure that bills, tax demands and other requirements are paid/met
* Track expenditure and classifying it correctly for VAT
* Monitor records of time worked and presenting them in the appropriate format to clients
* Run the payroll and maintain our account with our pension provider.
Office Management
* Manage the office premises

About you
Essential skills and experience:
* At least 3 years administration experience.
* Effective time management skills – adept at handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong numerical and organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
* Initiative and drive to follow tasks through to successful completion
* A proactive and team-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering high standards of service
* Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously
* Good written and spoken English.
* A positive, adaptable attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Desirable skills and experience:
* Knowledge and use of management software programs
* French or Spanish are a bonus.
* Administration accreditation (e.g. QDF, CIPD, IAM / ILM)
We use FreeAgent as our accounting software and will provide an introduction to using it for the required tasks.
You will work from our offices Reading, your integration into our team requires you to be able to work in the same physical space as our Reading based team.
You must have the right to live and work in the UK. Stats4SD will not be able to help you to obtain a UK work permit.

* 26 days FTE of paid holiday per year plus UK bank holidays.
* Up to £2000 (taxable) to cover costs to relocate to Reading.
