The retail Business Manager is responsible for overseeing all the daily operations of the counter, maintaining the overall culture, ensuring the team represents and embraces the brand guidelines and expectations by ‘leading by example’ at all times. They will manage the counter team, including the hiring of a diverse team, managing individual performance and providing insightful and useful feedback. They will also manage daily target expectations, scheduling, as well as delegating duties and responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will actively network in order to not miss opportunities, develop strategies to drive sales and customer growth, increase profitability and ensure targets are achieved. They will understand that maintaining high store standards and creating an entertaining working environment is key, whilst demonstrating a positive attitude with excellent internal and external customer communication skills.


Responsibilities

* Demonstrate solid understanding of sales, product knowledge, events, operations, retail beauty industry.
* Capture consumer insights, sales trends and traffic patterns in order to influence planning optimisation.
* Empower others to be strategic in their respective roles and be accountable for the results.
* Optimise sales through effective customer experience, product knowledge and selling techniques.
* Analyse and review goals, developing strategies to improve sales performance.
* Schedule the team to optimise counter coverage according to the day of the week requirements and support the management of agency staffing.
* Identify brand opportunities using the available tools to achieve and exceed targets.
* Ensure weekly sales reports & monthly commission reports are completed on time.
* Recognise and rectify obstacles that permit achieving targets and goals using problem-solving skills.


Team Management & Development

* Actively network, recruit, retain and develop a high-performing and diverse team onboard the very best talent to ensure the counter offers exceptional service and experiences.
* Lead a dynamic management team responsible for driving team performance, through effective communication skills.
* Lead by example of excellent timekeeping, punctuality and grooming.
* Lead the team to maximise their ability, to meet or exceed sales and achieve targets.
* Encourage conversation and communicate with your team regarding their feedback and needs.
* Play an active part in team meetings.
* Attend all brand product and artistry training.
* Manage and communicate team rota 4 weeks in advance.
* Schedule team accordingly to be able to attend all brand product training and development opportunities to enhance the teams’ skills and knowledge.
* Manage staff behavioural and sales performance, including annual performance review and feedback to determine future development of team.
* Recognise and target relevant specific KPI’s to the business.
* Understand that working in retail means being flexible to support team and workload according to needs.
* Resolve internal team issues and requests, in an efficient and timely manner.
* Ensure you are a supportive team player.
* Develop a culture of recognition, acknowledgement, and achievement amongst the team.


Customer Experience

* Act as an outstanding, responsible, passionate brand ambassador and team leader.
* Develop a high performance team to deliver consistent, sincere and excellent customer service.
* Greet every customer with a smile and acknowledgement, establish and understand their needs to ensure a high level of professional service and customer satisfaction.
* Demonstrate sincere, personal and customer service excellence at all times.
* Deliver thoughtful and bespoke artistry services and information to all our customers.
* Ensure all customers leave knowing about the Lisa Eldridge story, values, and products.
* Resolve customer issues and requests, in an efficient and timely manner.
* Build the CRM database to drive repeat business and to develop customer loyalty for product launches, events and appointments.
* Responsibility of taking customer details as required, correctly and following up to completion of customer needs.


Administration & Operations

* Ensure Health & Safety compliance through effective daily operations.
* Accuracy of point of sale procedures with cash handling and payment methods, refunds and exchanges in a timely manner with attention to detail.
* Stock storage is organised and presented appropriately according to guidelines being kept clean and hygienic and ensuring stock is safely secured in any stockroom areas.
* Manage and organise stock, RGA, store transfers and testers working closely with Stock Room Controller, Operations & Supply Chain Manager and store Floor Managers to ensure healthy stock levels.
* Manage stock checks and accurate stock takes with great attention to detail to ensure all stock is accounted for.
* Understand the company’s business objectives, brand values, and actively strive to exceed expectations.
* Ensure safety and security of the business and team.
* Maintain outstanding counter hygiene & cleanliness standards at all times.
* Follow and implement all visual merchandising, display presentation standards and guidelines in accordance with Head Office.
* Bring new ideas for events, services and artistry to Senior Management and Store Floor Managers to continue to animate the counter.
* Support all the counter organisation of testers, bags, hygiene and stationery as directed.
* Adhere to all aspects of operations, company policies and procedures effectively with professionalism.
