Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of primary schools in and around the Stanley area and are seeking to recruit qualified Supply Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This role offers excellent flexibility, with opportunities for full-time supply for adaptable candidates, alongside part-time work to suit individual availability. Access to your own vehicle is desirable to support travel between a range of local schools.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils’ learning on a 1:1, small group or whole-class basis
* Assist class teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
* Provide support for pupils with SEN or additional needs where required
* Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
* Support positive behaviour management in line with school policies
* Assist with classroom preparation and general classroom support
* Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups and classroom settings
Key Requirements
* A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
* Previous experience working with children in a school or education setting
* Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
* Availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week
* A caring, patient and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Access to your own vehicle (desirable but not essential)
