Nissan Formula E Team has been competing in motorsport and the FIA Formula E World Championship for many years and is looking for a Vehicle Dynamics Expert to contribute to the teams development.
Key Responsibilities:
* KPI Definition: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for vehicle performance and balance assessment.
* Chassis Control Strategy: Recommend strategies for chassis control based on detailed analysis of car balance dynamics and in-depth knowledge of its systems.
* Suspension Design Recommendations: Provide design expert guidance on suspension design based on tire data, simulation outputs, and car/track specifications.
* Car Setup Optimization: Provide recommendations for car setup, focusing on tire characteristics and car balance.
* Dynamic Simulation Support: Assist analysis of offline and DiL simulation to ensure accurate correlation of models with track data.
* Track Test Support: Occasionally participate in track tests, analyzing and interpreting data to identify vehicle performance characteristics and provide robust support to the race team regarding car setup optimization.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle dynamics development, testing, and validation.
* Strong expertise in vehicle dynamics theory, modeling, and simulation.
* Practical experience with vehicle testing and data acquisition tools.
* Advanced analytical skills to interpret and analyze test data.
* Demonstrated ability to present complex technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proficiency in simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink and other simulation software.)
* Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
* Passionate about vehicle dynamics and driven to innovate in improving vehicle performance.
* Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in motorsport or high-performance automotive engineering.
* Familiarity with advanced simulation tools and methodologies.
* Background in tire dynamics and chassis control systems.
