Looking to take your first big step into Quantity Surveying?
We have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a busy team, based in Loughborough where you'll get hands-on experience, real responsibility, and plenty of support as you learn the ropes.
You'll work closely with project and commercial managers, helping to keep projects running smoothly from a commercial point of view. From cost tracking and forecasting to valuations and invoicing, you'll be involved in the day-to-day commercial side of live infrastructure projects.
What you'll be doing
Supporting project and contract managers with commercial and financial tasks
Keeping cost, forecast, and project data up to date using spreadsheets
Assisting with valuations, variations, and monthly applications
Helping produce accurate cost reports and sales forecasts
Monitoring job costs and flagging any issues
Maintaining cost value reconciliations and basic P&L information
Supporting final accounts and attending meetings as required
Working with internal teams, clients, and consultants
Occasionally supporting surveying duties on site
What we're looking for
Studying towards, or holding, a Quantity Surveying (or related) qualification
Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working with numbers
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
An understanding of construction processes
Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
A driving licence and CSCS card would be a bonus but not essential
