Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join Ultra Maritime SMaP (UK) in Loudwater, High Wycombe, within the Weapon Interfacing Equipment (WIE) team. This role involves supporting new designs and existing products, contributing to the full systems engineering lifecycle, and potentially leading projects or work packages.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop solutions for complex engineering problems, ensuring customer requirements are met.
* Create and maintain systems engineering artefacts throughout the development lifecycle.
* Provide technical direction and influence project architecture and design choices.
* Design, develop, and deliver high-quality systems engineering artefacts.
* Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure design consistency and modularity.
* Lead design reviews and present to management and customers.
* Manage customer and supplier relationships to meet project goals.
* Prepare technical proposals, estimates, and support bids for contract awards.
* Estimate effort and manage schedule and costs effectively.
* Review technical documents and facilitate technical reviews.
* Communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
* Ensure security compliance and mentor junior team members.
Personal Attributes and Skills
* Degree in engineering, science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Comprehensive understanding of Systems Engineering and lifecycle processes.
* Experience in requirements development and systems design.
* Proficiency in technical documentation and reviews.
* Hands-on experience with embedded hardware, software, or firmware development, preferably with JAMA.
Note: Candidates must be eligible for security vetting.
