Purpose Of Job
As Senior Systems Engineer, you will report to the Head of Quality Assurance and Systems. You will be responsible for providing requirements analysis and systems engineering support for various business functions:
* Product development for customer projects and R&D
* Sales and Marketing
* Customer Support
The ideal candidate should demonstrate versatility to handle a wide range of tasks and flexibility to adapt to rapid changes in priority. The role will be customer-facing, serving as the focal point for initial and ongoing customer interactions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensure accurate capture of customer requirements, including solution architecture, development of features, and data interfaces to third-party systems.
* Represent the company during activities with customers, integration partners, and end-users, including requirements gathering, design reviews, and integration activities onsite or online.
* Translate customer requirements into software requirements that reflect the solution architecture, operational needs, and provide a suitable testing platform, ensuring first-time acceptance by the customer.
* Review solutions to ensure they meet functional requirements and address both customer and internal needs.
* Provide system-level guidance and technical advice to other departments as needed.
* Maintain the requirements baseline for each product.
* Comply with the company's Quality Management System.
* Stay informed and acquire knowledge on technical topics to support projects and internal needs.
* Own the process improvement plan within the systems team and related functions.
* Attend the office in Southbourne three days a week and as required.
* Travel to customer sites worldwide as needed.
Technical Requirements
* Knowledge of systems engineering best practices.
* Expertise in ATC operational protocols and procedures.
* Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
Education & Experience
* Experience with engineering practices, requirements engineering, solution architecture, and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to derive detailed requirements from high-level customer needs and prepare specifications for software development and testing.
* Strong PC literacy and IT skills, with knowledge of hardware, software, and requirements management tools.
* Understanding of MS Office tools.
* Experience or knowledge of ATC/ATM environments.
