As Digital Content Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in bringing that magic to life.

Role Purpose:

The Digital Content Manager will manage the workflow into the editorial team, overseeing and tracking all requests, managing the backlog, and coordinating delivery across competing priorities. Reporting to the Head of Digital Experience, the Digital Content Manager is a hands-on role responsible for designing, building and managing content across the acquisition website and other relevant guest platforms. They will be a skilled practitioner who personally creates and implements pages, applies SEO improvements, implements new components and keeps content accurate and optimised — while also championing the broader content strategy to drive engagement, conversion and brand development. They will work closely with two Digital Content Executives, offering oversight, thought leadership and subject matter expertise to guide their day-to-day work and help raise the quality and effectiveness of content output.

Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Planning

* Be a key champion for the Head of Digital Experience’s website strategy, supporting guest needs, improving conversion and sales, and building the Warner Hotels brand.
* Triage and prioritise digital content requests from stakeholders across Warner, managing the team’s workload accordingly.
* Lead digital content response for projects and campaigns — create Miro plans and roadmaps, present to stakeholders, analyse (with support of Digital Analytics Manager) and react to historical website performance.
* Proactively seek opportunities to work with cross-functional teams to understand and promote new products, features and break types available to entice new guests to book online.
* Work with the Head of Digital Experience and CRM to develop increasingly personalised digital journeys.

Content Delivery & Quality

* Personally create and publish engaging content across all acquisition and retention platforms, including product updates, sales offers and promotions, bespoke landing pages and general website updates — ensuring consistency and quality throughout.
* Work with creative teams to create engaging and high-performing website content, ensuring messaging is on-brand, accessible and conversion-focused – and optimised for our channel.
* Ensure guest journeys are optimised and as frictionless as possible.
* Directly implement on-page SEO improvements, including meta updates, GEO optimisation and structured content changes, using Optimizely’s toolset to apply improvements at scale.
* Conduct regular website audits to ensure all digital content is accurate, up to date and meets guest expectations — leveraging Optimizely’s automated content audit capabilities.
* Liaise with stakeholders across the Hemel Hub and at individual hotels to ensure all content is timely, relevant and accurate.
* Ensure all content is in line with Brand and Creative guidelines.

Digital Best Practice & Optimisation

* Personally design and build web pages to digital best practice standards, including brand, tone of voice, SEO, accessibility, UX/UI and user journeys.
* Proactively work with the digital marketing and product teams to execute content optimisation initiatives that improve conversion rates.
* Hands-on configuration and use of Optimizely’s personalisation, adaptive blocks, adaptive components and auto SEO optimisation tools to build, test and improve content performance.
* Drive GEO analytics and meta/GEO improvements at scale using Optimizely’s toolset.
* Support and report on KPIs, using tools such as heatmaps, Google Analytics and CrazyEgg to demonstrate the effectiveness of content and optimise future versions.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

* Support and oversee the work of two Digital Content Executives, offering thought leadership, subject matter expertise and hands-on guidance to ensure high-quality content output.
* Act as a senior point of reference for the content team, sharing best practice, reviewing work and helping to develop the executives’ skills and knowledge.
* Regularly visit hotels to understand the product and, more importantly, the guests.

* Increased stakeholder confidence in the quality and consistency of digital content.
* Measurable improvements in content quality, conversion rates and SEO visibility.
* A well-supported content team whose skills and output quality are continuously improving.

Behaviours and Essential Skills

* Proactive and self-starting, with a flexible approach and the ability to work under pressure.
* Creative thinker — able to spot new trends and emerging technology, and willing to champion ideas with stakeholders.
* Problem solver — ability to propose solutions that balance both guest and business needs when necessary.
* Proven experience managing an acquisition website for a medium to large organisation.
* Experience using a CMS to plan, produce and deploy content at scale.
* Experience managing continuous content requests, and balancing high priority against strategic value.
* Proven, hands-on experience building and configuring pages and components in a CMS, with confidence working directly in Optimizely or a comparable enterprise platform.
* Experience implementing on-page SEO improvements, including meta updates and structured content changes.
* Strong understanding and use of website analytics to inform and track content activity, ideally Google Analytics.
* Deep understanding of digital content strategy, web best practice and the role of content in driving conversion.
* Strong working knowledge of a major enterprise CMS, ideally Optimizely (up to v12).
