Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Ormskirk, Lancashire
Salary: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students aged 5 to 19 who have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support to students.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Supporting students' social and emotional development.
* Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic approach to education.
About You:
* Empathetic and patient, with a genuine interest in supporting young people with SEN.
* Adaptable and able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
* Willing to engage in ongoing professional development.
* Previous experience working with children and young adults with SEN is desirable.
