Regulatory Specialist
The key role of a Regulatory Technical lead is to provide guidance and support to the various teams within the business, these teams involve Product Development, design and supply chain to ensure product launches are delivered on time and in compliance with the brand expectations.
This person would also work closely with 3rd party factories to ensure the factories are working in adherence to our standards and values as a brand.
· Key involvement in sourcing all compliance documents from our 3rd party factories
· Review all compliance documents from the 3rd party factories and if there are any concerns liaise to work with the factories to correct
· Validate factory compliance before on-boarding
· Work closely with the 3rd party factory labs to ensure all testing parameters have been completed and are on track – Stability, Compatibility, Packaging, Heavy metals etc
· Review artwork for compliance to various markets – UK, EU, USA and other intended markets with guidance from the Head of Regulatory Affairs
· Be responsible for PIF generation for all SKU’s launched under the brand and ensure they are fit for Audit or inspection purposes
· Ensure all products are notified via SCPN, CPNP, MoCRA in a timely manner
· Work closely with independent 3rd parties where needed – test houses etc
· Working closely with the Head of Regulatory, product development and Supply chain to ensure all technical information is on track for product launch and provide technical support where needed
· Be involved in Quality & Technical investigations on formulation failures, stability failures, process failures, Stock failures, shipment failures and customer complaints.
· Work closely with the factories on Quality processes and improvements with guidance from the Head of Regulatory
· Customer Engagement – work closely with retailers and provide regulatory support
· Ensure developed formulations are using compliant Raw Materials across the brand – cruelty free international, compliant and fit for use in the specific areas of application
· Support the product development team in any other areas (where needed)
Requirements
· At least 5 years’ Experience of Cosmetic regulations in the UK, EU and USA
· A chemistry degree to be able to understand formulations and its ingredients
· Excellent organisation skills, key knowledge of the Beauty industry and its processes
· Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
· Ability to work well independently and alongside the wider business
