We are looking for an Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) to cover the area of East Midlands.
What You’ll Do
As an OHA, you will be responsible for delivering a full range of Occupational Health duties including case management, medicals (e.g., Rail industry, Safety Critical, Health Surveillance, Train Drivers), and health and wellbeing services.
More specifically:
* Work with customers at medical centres, customer sites, or remotely to provide support, advice, and guidance on sickness absence, workplace environment, risk assessment, stress management, and return to work.
* Lone working: Ability to work independently at medical centres and onsite, conducting health surveillance and medical assessments, including training as needed.
* Provide advice to managers and HR on staff capable of undertaking their duties, within company policies.
* Assist in risk assessments related to health matters affecting staff.
* Stay updated on legislation and best practices in Occupational Health.
* Work with head office to increase service utilization and perform dashboard work as needed.
* Participate in network learning, clinical updates, and performance goals, including delivering updates on clinical innovations.
Required Qualifications
* Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Occupational Health; Part 3 of NMC Register; evidence of CPD.
* Qualification in Hand Arm Vibration and experience with drug and alcohol testing (chain of custody) is desirable.
* Ability to perform medicals/surveillance, including audiometry, spirometry, skin assessment, HAVS, and safety-critical medicals.
* Experience in the Rail industry for Train Driver Medicals with additional training.
* Ability to conduct case management assessments face-to-face and remotely.
* Ability to work effectively with HR, Safety professionals, and occupational health partners.
* Ability to identify key health issues and develop procedures and solutions.
* Must be able to travel between sites and have business insurance.
* Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office.
