What you'll be doing
Housekeeping will be at the heart of your role, keeping our visitor spaces clean, tidy, and ready for guests. This includes:
* Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
* Preparing rooms for guests, including making beds, providing towels, and restocking tea/coffee facilities
* Ensuring public areas such as corridors and classrooms are neat, tidy, and well-presented
You may also be asked to support our catering team. This could involve:
* Setting up the dining room for meals
* Assisting in the kitchen with food preparation and service
* Keeping the dining, kitchen, and tea/coffee areas clean and stocked
Our centre is always busy, so we value team members who are happy to help wherever they're needed. Please refer to the vacancy pack for further details on the full responsibilities of the role.
Where you'll be working
Our Preston Montford centre sits in the heart of Shropshire on the River Severn, with beautiful views into Wales. The 12-hectare estate includes ponds, a wildflower meadow, an ancient orchard, a walled garden, and even a bee hotel - perfect for enjoying a breath of fresh air on your breaks.
We're looking for someone with:
* A positive attitude and pride in your work
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A flexible, adaptable approach
* A professional manner and great customer service skills
* An interest in Field Studies Council's aims and values
