Main duties
1. To undertake mechanical repairs, maintenance tasks and minor installations of mechanical equipment.
2. To undertake planned maintenance activities and repairs on all mechanical equipment.
3. Experience working with pipework, & filters desirable but not essential.
4. Able to diagnose and repair simple and complex issues on various mechanical systems.
5. Ability to produce permit to work/risk assessments as required
6. Identify and action any faults/remedial works
7. Use handheld technology effectively to carry out all tasks
8. Assist other team members when required or as directed from Operations Supervisor/Contract Manager
9. Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.
10. Working with visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety
11. All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
12. To understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
13. To forge and maintain excellent customer relations with on-site clients at all times
14. To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
15. To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
16. To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
17. To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required
18. Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration
19. Will be required to participate in on call rota
Person Specification
20. Qualified to City & Guilds Level or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role
Mechanical Experience – working in commercial environments
21. Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment
- Including, pumps and mechanical drive systems
22. Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
23. Strong customer care focus.
24. Good communication skills.

26. Able to anticipate and/or diagnose and repair faults
27. Capable of completing essential paperwork in accurate and timely manner.
