Job description
We have a current opportunity for a Compliance Manager on a permanent basis. The role is to manage on-going statutory compliance contracts as well as responsible for delivering planned works across the big 6 areas of compliance.
Job Duties:
1. Responsible for day to day management and planned programmes of works of all Compliance requirements
2. Responsible for the Programme Management and maintaining housing stock to the required minimum standard as set out by the government's required standards and in line with the Housing Associations objectives
3. To lead contract management of external delivery partners
4. To ensure the effective delivery of compliance services with particular regard to ensuring that properties are safe.To direct staff in the delivery of appropriate audits, inspections, risk assessments, method statements and respective monitoring
5. To manage a team to ensure current and future safety of properties for gas, electrics, water, asbestos, fire and lifts.
6. Keep H&S and Compliance records in property databases to ensure that accurate records and information are available
7. Manage the relevant asset management and compliance databases and providing the basis of planning an investment strategy for the Housing associations housing stock.
8. Staff management, leadership and promoting and engagement of the compliance Services Team.
9. Responsibility for identifying and defining priorities with regards to building safety and compliance,
10. To direct staff in working practices to meet regulatory and legal requirements at a minimum, whilst seeking to achieve best practice.
