Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping duties in line with Solicitor Accounts Regulations, to ensure the firm's financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date.
The role will span client account management, reconciliations, VAT returns, and liaising with fee earners and external accountants.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate records of all client and office transactions
* Process client receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations
* Ensure compliance with Law Society regulations
* Preparation of Vat return & submission of statutory returns to HMRC
* Manage Nominal, Debtor & Creditor Ledgers & complete supplier payments
* Process payroll & pension submission
* Month end procedures
* Cash Flow Analysis
* Assist with year-end audit and liaise with external accountants to provide necessary documentation / reports
Experience
* Proven experience as a Legal Bookkeeper or in a similar role is essential.
* Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Insight Legal & Sage Payroll)
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Additional admin/finance duties as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 15 per week
