About the role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a partner secondary school in the Walsall area. The role is ideal for qualified teachers who are passionate about inspiring students and supporting their learning in a range of scientific subjects.
Role responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons in science across KS3 and KS4
* Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the school curriculum and assessment policies
* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities
* Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to support learning outcomes
* Promote a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively
* Support students in developing scientific thinking and practical skills
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and strategies
* Contribute to school initiatives, events and extra-curricular activities
Role requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching science in a secondary school setting, preferably across KS3 and KS4
* Strong subject knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons for a diverse student body
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Willingness to undertake professional development and training
* DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
* Reliable, adaptable and committed to student success

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
