Title: Senior Planner - Major Construction Project

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading UK main contractor on a prestigious £200m construction project in West London. This is a site-based position, offering the chance to play a critical role in the successful delivery of a complex scheme within a live, operational environment.
As Senior Planner, you will be a key member of the project leadership team, taking ownership of the planning function and ensuring the project programme is robust, realistic, and effectively managed throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage fully integrated project programmes from pre-construction through to completion
Lead short-, medium-, and long-term planning activities to support efficient project delivery
Monitor progress against programme, identifying risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies
Produce detailed look-ahead schedules and phasing plans to support site operations
Provide programme updates, progress reports, and forecasts to the project team and senior stakeholders
Support change management, including delay analysis and programme impact assessments
Work closely with commercial and delivery teams to ensure alignment with project objectives
Ensure planning activities are compliant with NEC contract requirements
Skills & Experience Required
Proven site-based planning experience on large, complex construction projects with a main contractor
Strong technical expertise in project planning and programme management
Demonstrable experience working under NEC contracts
Proficiency in industry-standard planning software (e.g. Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, operational environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
