MPS1-UPS3 (£32,916 to £51,048)
Full time with part time considered.
As Principal, I am proud to be able to introduce you to Outwood Academy Valley.
We are a school where excellence, innovation, and opportunity come together to create an outstanding learning environment for both students and staff. The academy is situated at the heart of its community in Worksop. Worksop is known as the “Gateway to the Dukeries” due to its proximity to several historic ducal estates, including Clumber Park, Thoresby Hall, Welbeck Abbey, and Worksop Manor.
We are deeply committed to putting students first, raising standards, and transforming lives. We believe that learning should be both enjoyable and enriching, allowing students to make exceptional progress. Our knowledge-rich curriculum is designed to personalise learning for every student, helping them to reach their potential. Our Performing Arts Department excels, producing, choreographing and performing brilliant shows.
If you are passionate about education and looking to join a dedicated team that strives for excellence, we warmly invite you to explore the exciting opportunities at our academy. We value and invest in our staff, offering high-quality professional development, a collaborative and dynamic working environment, and the opportunity to make a real difference.
'A message from the community executive principal'.
As the Community Executive Principal, I'm excited to share why joining our team offers a unique and rewarding experience that goes beyond working in a single school - if you choose to become a part of the team you will influence the lives of over 6,000 young people; shaping their futures by raising standards and transforming lives.
Imagine being part of a supportive network of four Outwood academies across Nottinghamshire and Sheffield, where collaboration and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. This is what it means to be part of our Outwood community, and it's something I'm passionate about fostering in my role. Across the learning community we host joint senior team meetings, schedule regular learning walks in different schools for colleagues (at all levels), work with local businesses to secure student opportunities and enrichments and are constantly developing mechanisms for working with parents. We have fostered a culture of sharing the very best practice across the community and are committed to providing world class professional development for teaching and support staff.
With us, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Connect and collaborate with colleagues across multiple schools: Share best practices, participate in joint projects, and learn from a diverse range of experienced professionals.
2. Develop your skills and expertise: Benefit from a wide range of professional development opportunities and contribute to a dynamic learning community.
3. Make a bigger impact: Your contributions will extend beyond your own classroom, and school, influencing and supporting colleagues and students across the community.
4. Be part of something bigger: Experience the strength and support of a close-knit community within the larger Outwood family.
I work closely with each academy in our community to facilitate this collaboration, ensuring that we are sharing our strengths, learning from each other, and constantly striving for improvement. This creates a truly unique and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. We also look to extend and enrich the lives of our students ensuring they too benefit from being part of a wider 'community' than the one in which they live.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our Mathematics department from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people. Our single goal is ‘Students First’ and you will be joining a strong team of
professionals working to this sole aim.
Outwood Grange Academies Trust provides a high-quality learning and cultural environment that inspires and motivates children. Whether you are ambitious for progression or determined to be an outstanding classroom teacher, Outwood Academy Valley is the place for you. Leadership development, succession planning and capacity
building are major priorities for the Trust as this enables us to facilitate rapid progression for those who want to advance either in the classroom or at a leadership level.
You will be well supported by an experienced team of teachers and School Improvement Partners as you work to raise attainment levels and offer an engaging curriculum experience that focuses on teaching for understanding.
The Academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, which affords opportunities for staff to work and progress across several schools if desired. A comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through our own network of teaching schools. We also have strong links with MathsHub and there are
masses of opportunities for you to get involved in the fantastic projects they run.
