Sheet Metal Fabricator
Department: Manufacturing
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm (40 hrs/week, occasional overtime)
Pay Rate: £14 – £16.50 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for precision engineering? We’re looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to bring their expertise to our growing Manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll take engineering drawings and turn them into high-quality, fabricated components using mild and stainless steel. If you enjoy variety, craftsmanship, and the satisfaction of seeing your work take shape, this is the job for you.
MIG welding experience is a strong plus, and you’ll have the chance to work with a wide range of tools, presses, and workshop machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and work from detailed sheet metal and engineering drawings
Fabricate components with precision using mild and stainless steel
Perform tack welding; MIG welding skills highly valued
Operate machinery such as guillotines, brake presses, and overhead cranes
Inspect finished workpieces, reporting and correcting defects where necessary
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following Health & Safety practices
Complete all required documentation and deliver tasks to deadline and specificationWhat We’re Looking For
Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication
Confident with MIG welding (advantageous but not essential)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
A solid work ethic with pride in producing quality resultsThe Work Environment

Some tasks involve climbing, lifting, bending, and handling heavy materials
PPE provided and required (gloves, steel-toe boots, eye and hearing protection)
