Your new company

This company is an established charity that provides a range of specialist abuse support services to women, men and children across the West Midlands region. Their holistic, trauma informed support enables victims to escape violence and abuse, cope with trauma and build resilience.

Your new role

This plays a crucial part in supporting victims of modern slavery and human trafficking. Their responsibilities include:

* Providing Safe Accommodation: Ensuring victims have a secure place to live while they recover from their experiences.

* Tailored Support Plans: Working with victims to assess their needs and risks, and creating personalised support plans.

* Supervising Teams: Overseeing a team of staff and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

* Partnership Work: Collaborating with key agencies to provide comprehensive support, including financial and practical assistance.

* Leadership and Problem-Solving: Supporting the management team and contributing to the smooth operation of the service.

This role is both challenging and rewarding, requiring compassion, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of trauma and abuse. It’s a vital position in helping survivors rebuild their lives.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel as a Senior Modern Slavery Accommodation Advocate, candidates ideally need:

* Experience in Supporting Trauma Survivors: A background in working with adults who have experienced trauma, abuse, or exploitation is essential.

* Leadership Skills: Experience in supervising teams and managing operations in challenging environments.

* Knowledge of Modern Slavery Issues: Understanding the complexities of modern slavery, human trafficking, and the National Referral Mechanism.

* Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to assess risks, create tailored support plans, and navigate complex situations.

* Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with agencies and provide compassionate support to victims.

This role requires a full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and female applicants only.

What you'll get in return

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a charity in the local area of the black country that works on the largest of scales to offer support to individuals who have been victims of modern slavery and human trafficking. The role pays a salary of up to £33,281 per annum plus employee benefits and progression opportunities are available in abundance.
