Are you a detail-driven finance professional looking to make a real impact in a values-led education trust If so, Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Clerk to join their team.
Location: Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust, NG34 9DL
Job Type: Part time, Permanent
Salary: Grade 4 point 9 - 12 £25,989 - £27,255 FTE, £8,428.86 - £10,126.20 (pro rata, dependant on contracted hours)

The Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust formed by the Diocese of Lincoln in 2013. We are a growing and thriving family of schools dedicated to providing an excellent education for pupils across Lincolnshire. We have grown to serve twenty-three academies across three local authorities of Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, and North-East Lincolnshire.
Finance Clerk - The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and committed Finance Clerk to join our team based in Ruskington. There is some flexibility for hybrid office and home-based
working. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of day-to-day transactional finance activities.
Finance Clerk - Responsibilities:
- Purchase ledger: raising orders, processing invoices, and maintaining the supplier database
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Posting and reconciling the Trust's credit cards & bank account
- Dealing with queries and general office duties as required
- Day to day contact with the key members of our schools, councils, suppliers and key stakeholders
- Reviewing the nominal ledger and providing analysis as required
- Ensuring that all finance records, both electronic and paper based, are accurately maintained, and kept up to date
- Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with all relevant financial procedures
Finance Clerk - You:
- Minimum of 5 O Levels / GCSE's (to include English and Mathematics at Grade C or 4 or above)
- AAT Level 2/Level 3 or a bookkeeping qualification, or is working towards one
- Previous experience of working in a finance role and an understanding of key financial controls
- Ability to use judgement and escalate issues when necessary
- Ability to prioritise their workload in a busy team environment
- An understanding of and empathy with the Christian values of the organisation
