Overview
English Teacher – Full-time, flexible supply roles starting as soon as possible. These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of secondary schools in and around Cheshunt, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school policies
* Support pupils’ learning and progress during short-term cover
* Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
* Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency
* Provide feedback on pupil engagement and lesson outcomes
Ideal English Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
* Experience teaching English in secondary schools
* Flexibility and confidence to work in different schools and year groups
* Strong classroom management and communication skills as an English Teacher
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
