Roundpeg is hiring a Data Analyst to support a leading LEAN consultancy that partners with organisations across healthcare and manufacturing, to solve operational problems. In this dynamic role, you will dive into data to help build tools and solutions that deliver clarity, insight, and agility. No two days are the same — you'll be balancing multiple complex projects and working at the intersection of data and decision-making.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for various key tasks that contribute to the overall success of the consultancy, with a host of clients from car manufacturers and yacht builders to the NHS.
Responsibilities
* Collect, process, and analyse complex datasets to uncover patterns and actionable insights
* Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to visualise performance metrics
* Collaborate with consultants and cross-functional teams to understand business problems and recommend data-driven solutions
* Develop Excel and Power BI-based tools that can be deployed quickly in operational environments
* Conduct data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
* Apply statistical methods to interpret data and identify trends or anomalies
* Support market research, benchmarking, and competitive analysis where required
Qualifications
* Advanced Excel expertise – confident in building, debugging, and optimising spreadsheet tools
* Proficiency with data visualisation platforms, preferably Power BI or Tableau
* Working knowledge of SQL, Power Query, or Python for data transformation and analysis
* Prior experience in a data-focused role – consultancy or tool-building background preferred
* Strong analytical thinking with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
* Clear communicator – able to explain data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Comfortable working independently as well as in a collaborative team
* Experience with statistical methods or operational problem-solving in sectors such as healthcare or manufacturing
* Experience of working for the NHS and or a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred
