The Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3 and developing the depot, ensuring smooth operational performance while driving growth across service, labour, and parts.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the overall performance and development of the depot against agreed targets
* Leading, motivating, and developing a team of engineers and support staff
* Building strong relationships with customers, handling queries and resolving issues effectively
* Driving growth of the customer base, labour sales, and parts revenue
* Overseeing preventative maintenance schedules and service delivery
* Managing warranty claims, fleet servicing, and hire equipment
* Controlling departmental purchasing and stock, ensuring best practice is followed
* Ensuring high standards across workshop operations, vehicles, and facilities
* Maintaining accurate records and compliance, including health & safety standards
* Providing technical support to the wider business, including sales teams
About You
* Proven experience in a Service Manager or similar leadership role
* Background within engineering, manufacturing, or a technical service environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Commercially aware, with experience driving performance and growth
* Excellent customer-facing and problem-solving abilities
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
