Accounts Person Location Leicester Salary: Depending on experience Job type: Permanent Hours: Part time 25-30 hours per week Office Based ABOUT: The Company: Our Leicester based POS clients are looking for an experienced accounts person to join them in a part time office based role. The successful candidate will need to have strong experience within a small accounts team, taking ownership of day to day tasks such as sales/purchase ledger, bank reconciliation but also providing information in full support of an external accountant. Key areas of responsibility: * Use of SAGE accounting * Purchase/sales Ledger * Credit control | Credit applications * Setting up of new accounts/suppliers * Preparation of documents and figures for month end, year end and VAT returns * Invoicing * Payment of suppliers * Expenses | Credit card reconciliation * Bank reconciliation | Cashflow * Some general administration Key Skills: * Previous use of SAGE – essential * Previous experience working within an Accounts role – essential * A high level of accuracy and attention to detail * Able to communicate well with colleagues, clients and suppliers and external accountants * Extremely organised * Able to follow instructions, work independently and mentor a junior assistant as required * Experience of working in a similar manufacturing business * Enthusiastic and a willingness to support across the business
