Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and tooling, and with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Duties
* Experience with Mazak Intergrex ,5th axis machine is essential.
* Edit and optimize programs directly at the machine (Mazatrol & G-code)
* Strong understanding of multi-axis machining (5-axis experience preferred)
* Set up CNC machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment before production runs.
* Operate CNC milling to produce components according to specifications.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimise downtime.
* Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist with machine setup and part finishing.
* Conduct quality checks on machined parts, ensuring adherence to tolerances and specifications.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with engineering teams on design modifications and process improvements.
* Additional machining skills on CNC Haas mills would be advantagous.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Programmer, with knowledge of milling.
* Mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine operation is required.
* Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and specialised machining equipment effectively.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations related to machining tasks.
* Strong understanding of safety procedures within a manufacturing environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
